As a 2015 Windgate ITE Fellow at the Center for Art in Wood, I had access to so much expertise and so many resources, it made my head spin!  For the first month, I rushed from project to project, trying things that had long been on my wish list.  But as the end of the residency loomed, I decided to tackle something I first sketched in one of my notebooks at least six years ago:  a full-sized door with a mouth carved in the middle...
