Thank you for signing up for Jewelry in the Wild!  It’s going to be a busy weekend, and a little advance preparation will help you get the most out of it. 

I suggest that you bring:
-sketchbook and pencil
-an x-acto style knife handle and several disposable blades
-sterling silver wire if you prefer it to the brass that I will provide; 20 gauge is a good, versatile weight and you can buy small amounts from hobby/craft stores or large amounts from riogrande.com
-any chain or beads you might like to use
-eye protection (glasses or safety glasses) and a dust mask

We will be foraging for some of our materials, but you are very welcome to bring any appealing wood (scrap, driftwood, wooden objects, etc) or metal that you've already collected. 


There will be an assortment of tools that students can share, but if you are able to bring any of the
following you may save yourself from having to wait for a turn:

Jeweler's saw and blades (size approximately 3-5)

Small utility, pruning, or woodworking saw

Bench pin and clamp or C-clamp

Assorted files or rasps

Assorted pliers, shears, wire-cutters
