PROCESS An actual maple seed that I collected on a hike inspired these earrings. I traced the seed on a sheet of hard wax and carved the shape by hand. Each metal piece is made using the lost-wax process, then I add the sterling silver earwires and polish each piece myself (sometimes at my kitchen table!).
CARE Easy; these earrings have a protective coating of wax but the color will mellow and deepen over time. If you prefer, you can restore a brighter shine with a silver polishing cloth. Storing in a dry environment is recommended.
