Hand Knocker Pendants
Knock, knock! Hand-shaped door knockers never fail to get my attention. How many hours have I spent trying not to get caught taking photos of strangers’ front doors? My favorites are the basis for these pendants symbolizing our need to communicate with each other.
The ball in the hand is generally considered to represent a piece of fruit, adding even more poignancy to this image. Maybe it will remind you of all the farmers, pickers, truckers, cooks, and servers who have had a hand into getting food onto your table, or maybe it will remind you of your own role as a nurturer. These pendants speak to food’s ability to create connection and express caring.
A portion of each sale will be donated to organizations that support food security, food sovereignty, or food workers.
DESIGNS Ruffle, Bow, Crest, Bangle (bracelets are added after the pendant is cast and can move)
VARIATIONS Patina, surface, and some details will vary from piece to piece.
